There's No Stars In The Sky

Growing up in Washington, DC during the 1960s, there was a rule for me and my siblings when we went out to play: be home and inside the front door when the street lights came on. Many of you might be familiar with this rule. It was enforced by parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, babysitters, and neighborhood moms. The street lights were timed to turn on just before the stars appeared. The stars served as my signal; I often gazed at their twinkle from our front porch before following the rule. The moon and stars are beautiful and amazing lights in the night sky. As a child, I wondered how and why God chose the sun for daylight and the moon and stars for night. The night is simply "darkness" until God's creations light it up. God could have made daylight last 24 hours, but He didn't. Although I'm a lover of the moon, I'm definitely a star gazer. There's a wonderful feeling that arises within me when I look up at a sky full of stars. I couldn't count them all, which shows just how amazing they are
As a teenager living in a different part of Washington, DC, I noticed that while the stars were always present, they weren't as plentiful. I didn't think much of it because they were still there, honoring God and watching over me when I stayed out past my curfew. With every step I took at night, the stars seemed to move with me.
As an adult, regardless of where I lived in the DMV area, having access to the stars was always special. However, I noticed that the night sky wasn't as illuminated. The stars still shone brightly, but there seemed to be fewer of them. I couldn't understand this... Is God taking them away? Is it due to the chemicals the government sprays in the sky? If so, if it has eliminated the stars, what effect is it having on Earth and us, God's ultimate creation? How can we defy God? Why don't those who act against humanity realize they will eventually face God and answer to Him? Where have all the stars gone?
Artificial lighting and pollution is what they're spitting at us. Where's there's a problem, there's a solution.
